Abstract

Adducts are prepared of a mixture of 4,4′-diaminodiphenylmethane and xylylenediamine with an epoxy compound. They are obtained by reacting an amine mixture of 4,4′-diaminodiphenylmethane and xylylenediamine in a molar ratio of from 2:3 to 3:2 with a glycidyl compound of mono- or polyhydric phenols or alcohols in a ratio of from 1 to 4 mol of amine mixture per epoxy equivalent. Heat is supplied to the system. The adducts mentioned can be used for curing epoxy compounds.
