Abstract
The test device is used for testing the residual-current device, which has a magnetic trip device installed in a housing (19); it has a test button (18) which projects through the end surface of the housing (19) and by means of which a circuit for producing a simulated fault current is closed. This circuit has allocated to it stationary contacts (15) which are fitted on an insulating panel (14) which is mounted above the magnet yoke laminate (12) of the magnetic trip device, while in contrast a contact link (17) for bridging the stationary contact (15) is connected to the test button (18). Depressing the test button (18) presses the contact link (17) against the stationary contacts (15), as a result of which the circuit is closed and a fault current is simulated. If the residual-current device is serviceable, the residual-current circuit breaker trips. The arrangement of the stationary contacts above the magnet yoke laminate leads to a simplification and reduction in size of the test device.
