This invention relates to substituted 1,2,4-triazines, to processes for their 5 preparation, and to pharmaceutical compositions containing them.
5,6-Diaryl-l,2,4-triazines have been described by John G Erikson in ” 1,2, 3and 1,2,4-triazines, tetrazines and pentazines” (The Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compound, Vol 10, pp 44-84, Interscience Publishers, New York, 1956).
More recent publications (U S Patent No 3,948,894 and Belgian Patent No 10 839,469) describe compounds which are generally similar to those of the present invention but differ by the absence of a 2-substituent which endows the compounds with valuable pharmacological properties.
