Abstract

157,255. Salfeld, C. S. June 8, 1914, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-Fuel supplied through the passage 7 issues through narrow channels 5b which give it a whirling motion and past a valve 6 which may be opened by the pressure of the fuel. The nozzle becomes heated by combustion in the cylinder, and a certain amount of fuel is permitted to escape past a. valve 16, and so distribute the heat through the apparatus, the leakage escaping by the pipe 21. The fuel may be injected by air.
