Abstract
1,054,864. Disproportionation catalyst. BRITISH PETROLEUM CO. Ltd. Aug. 11, 1965 [Sept. 8, 1964; Dec. 15, 1964], Nos. 36722/ 64 and 50985/64. Heading B1E. [Also in Division C5]. Disproportionation catalysts comprise Re 2 0 7 on Al 2 O 3 . Examples describe the impregnation of Al 2 0 3 with NH 4 ReO 4 which thermally decomposes to Re 2 0 7 . The catalysts may be used in a fixed, fluidised or moving bed and may be activated by heating in air followed by nitrogen.
