A flashing arrangement comprises an L- shaped jointing strip having its horizontal limb 7 embedded in roof covering 2 and its vertical limb 4 flat against a vertical wall 1 rising from the edge of the roof, a flashing strip 3 overlying the vertical limb and inserted along its upper edge in the lower of a pair of longitudinal grooves 8, 9 in a fixing strip 5 secured to the wall, the flashing being clamped by elements 15 inserted into the upper groove 9. The groove 8 may be filled with a permanently plastic sealing compound. The fixing flange 6 on the flashing strip may be initially at an angle of less than 90‹ to the strip and may have formations which interlock with formations in the groove 8.
