Abstract
1,182,722. Hydraulic brakes; disc brakes. ALFRED TEVES G.m.b.H. 11 March, 1968 [31 May, 1967], No. 11725/68. Headings F2E and F2F. In a bleeding system for hydraulic dual circuit brakes, ducts 3, 4 are provided for allowing connection to be made between the two circuits whereby only one bleeding valve 17 is necessary to bleed both circuits. Each pair of duets 3, 4 is normally separated by a screw 5 which is unscrewed prior to bleeding. As shown in Fig. 5, the system is applied to a disc brake having a four-cylinder dual-circuit fixed caliper, but the system may also be applied to a disc brake having a four-cylinder dual-circuit floating caliper and to a dual-circuit drum brake system. Various forms of screws 5 are described with reference to Figs. 1 to 4 (not shown).
