Abstract
1,223,872. Packaging; boxes. BENTELERWERKE A.G. 19 April, 1968 [21 April, 1967], No. 18685/68. Headings B8C and B8P. An assembly of a packaging container and a heating appliance 3 which has a front, back and sides comprises a first hollow container section 2 shaped to cover the front and sides of the appliance and fixed thereto, e.g. by adhesive tape 4, a second hollow container section 1 telescoping enclosing the first section with the appliance therein and covering the appliance back and sides, and openings 5, 6, in the first section whereby the appliance can be fitted and heated whilst still within the first section only. When the appliance is to be installed, the second container section is removed exposing the means, e.g. 11, by which the appliance can be secured in place. Knock-out pieces 5 give access for connection of the appliance to its power source and knock-out pieces 6 provide apertures for the circulation of air. Thus the appliance can be installed and used whilst protected from accidental damage. Instead of pieces 6, hinged flaps may be provided. Ultimate removal of section 2 is facilitated by knock-out pieces 12.
