1,232,723. Hooks. SEASAFE TRANSPORT AB. 13 June, 1969 [17 June, 1968], No. 30084/69. Heading E2A. A fastening hook for container corner boxes for use in stacking and lashing containers comprises a neck, a centre section extending at right angles thereto, a pointed end section extending in a direction at less than a right angle to the centre section, a web plate on the neck extending in a plane at right angles to the neck and in which the neck includes two fins, one for abutment against the edge of an upper hole in a container corner box, and in which the centre section is provided with a detent for abutment against the outside of the corner box. According to Fig. 4 (not shown) a pair of hooks is combined into a single fitting for use in connecting pairs of containers. The hooks are intended to replace known forms of connectors, Figs. 2a-2f (not shown).
