Abstract

1,246,409. Priming compositions. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 13 Jan., 1969 [13 Jan., 1968], No. 2018/69. Heading C1D. [Also in Division F3] A transmission primer comprises a charge having the following composition by weight: 25-45% lead trinitroresorcinate, 3-10% nitroguanidine, 24-45 % barium nitrate, and 8-25% calcium silicide. Additional primer charges comprise barium nitrate, aluminium magnesium alloy, lead dioxide, calcium silicide or zirconium hydride, and optionally boron. The primers may be arranged at spaced intervals in a tube, a flame issuing from one primer serving to ignite the next one.
