1,246,801. Lamp mountings. C. A. PARSONS & CO. Ltd. 13 Sept., 1968 [14 Sept., 1967], No. 42032/67. Heading F4R. [Also in Divisions G2 and H1] A high intensity light source intended for use as a photographic flash gun comprises a Q- spoiled laser which is housed with an optical system in a casing 1, (see Heading H1). The casing is carried in a cradle 12a borne on trunnions 14 on a supporting bracket 15, and can be displaced laterally by moving the bracket along a guide 16. Vertical adjustment is provided by a screw adjuster 17 which also provides a vertical pivot when a clamp 18 is released. Rotation about the horizontal axis is controlled by adjusting screw 20. The axes of the pivots intersect at a focal point of the laser beam internal of the casing.
