Abstract
1,262,605. Valves; linkwork. FMC. CORP. 11 June, 1970 [23 June, 1969], No. 28248/70. Headings F2K and F2V. [Also in Division G3] A valve actuator comprises a rotatable cam lever arm 18 with an involute slot 24 therein, the circle of generation of which is concentric with the axis about which the cam lever arm is rotatable, linear actuating means 16 having a reciprocable member 42 movable along a line tangential to the circle and being received in the slot so that linear movement of the reciprocable member effects rotary movement of the valve shaft. The reciprocable member 42 may be connected to a double-acting piston in a cylinder, a reversible electric motor, diaphragm air motor or manual means.
