Abstract
1295328 Finishing textiles CIBA-GEIGY AG 9 Nov 1970 [10 Nov 1969] 53233/70 Heading DIP Textiles are finished, especially wool rendered non-felting, by treatment with a composition, in a water-insoluble organic solvent, which comprises either a reaction product of a basic polyamide and an epoxide, an alkyl ether of an aminoplast precondensate or an epoxidepolymeric unsaturated fatty acid reaction product, or a reaction product of an epoxideorganic carboxylic acid reaction product and an amine or amino-epoxide reaction product; together with a surface active dispersing agent which is soluble in organic solvents. Following removal of solvent from the textile an after treatment may be applied e.g. by storing at room temperature or heat-treatment at 40‹-200‹C. Wool may be dyed either simultaneously or in optional sequence with the non-felting treatment.
