1324204 Splittable covering materials KABELUND METALLWERKE GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE AG 9 Aug 1971 [18 Aug 1970] 37361/71 Heading B5A [Also in Divisions C3 and H1] Cord-like or tubular products are covered with a polymeric material having a preferential direction of splitting being a direction in which the material has been worked comprising plasticized PVC and polyethylene which is incompatible therewith, the polyethylene being present as a separate phase which has crystallized out from a melt of the material on cooling. The products may for example be electrical conductors coated with the material by extrusion coating or a number of such arranged side by side and joined by the splittable material for easy separation. The polyethylene forms 2-30% of the mixture.
