1331284 Alloy compositions PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 12 Oct 1970 [15 Oct 1969] 48334/70 Heading C7A [Also in Divisions F1 and F4] An alloy for absorption of hydrogen is cryogenic applications comprises A and B in powder form, the ratio of A to B varying from 1 : 3 to 2 : 17 wherein A is Ca or one or more of the elements of the rare earths, which may be combined with Tn and/or Zr and/or Hf, and wherein B is mainly Ni and/or Co. Each container may comprise one of the alloys La Ni 5 ; La 0.8 Y 0.2 Ni 5 ; La 0.9 Zr 0.1 N 5 ; La x Ce 1-x Ni 5 ; wherein 0À4 < x < 1; LaxNi, wherein Lax is an alloy containing 85 per cent by weight of La, 10 per cent by weight of Nd, 4 per cent by weight of Pr and 1 per cent by weight of Ce.
