Abstract
1338914 Seat frames and joints DU-AL FURNITURE Ltd 16 Sept 1971 [2 Oct 1970] 47086/70 Headings A4H and A4J [Also in Division B5] A hollow seat 10 having a seat portion 16 integral with a back rest portion 15 is moulded from polyethylene or polypropylene and may be filled with polyurethane foam. Cylindrical cavities 41 are moulded into the lower surface 30 of the seat portion 16 to enable leg members 34 to be fastened on to the seat by means of straps 36 and fastening devices 40. Each of the devices 40 includes an elastometric bush 44 sandwiched between parts 42, 48, and a fixing bolt 56 threaded to the part 48. When the bolt is tightened the bush is compressed and the cylindrical wall of the recess deformed to a re-entrant shape. (For Figures see next page)
