1360431 Load handling pallets CHEMISCHE WERKE HULS AG and VEBA-CHEMIE AG 19 July 197 [20 July 1970] 33699/71 Heading B8H A load handling pallet has a high density plastics material lattice framework with the cavities thereof filled with an expanded plastics material which together with the framework define the upper and lower decks. The materials may be the same, e.g. polystyrene in which case they are fused together during the manufacture of the pallet, or the materials may be different. The framework may have cut-outs or projections, Fig. 3 (not shown), to assist in the connection between the framework and the filler. In a further embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown) the corner pieces (12) are formed of a lattice framework, the remainder of the pallet being formed of expanded material.
