Abstract
1383353 Corrugated pipe FELTEN & GUILLEAUME KABELWERKE AG 25 Aug 1972 [17 March 1972] 39760/72 Heading F2P A pipe for the simultaneous transport of at least two fluids comprises a circularly corrugated outer pipe 2 and at least one circularly corrugated inner pipe 3 running therein in which the corrugation widths are multiples of the distances between the corrugations or the distance between the corrugations are multiples of the corrugation widths. The outer pipe may have a heat insulative covering 9, e.g. of a foamed plastics material together with a protective jacket 10 and the inner pipe may be radially secured in relation to the outer pipe by flow promoting spacers 4. The insulating layer can have cavities which run longitudinally of the pipe and distributed around the periphery of the pipe such cavities being defined between dividing walls which taper radially inwards (Fig. 3, not shown). In a further embodiment (Fig. 4, not shown) the inner pipe is in the form of a cluster of pipes. The inner and outer pipes are preferably of metal and may be coated and/or lined with a corrosion protective material. The foamed insulating layer may be of foamed polyethylene or polyurethane and the outer cover can be of p.v.c.
