Abstract
1392643 Recording digital data SIEMENS AG 3 July 1972 [1 July 1971] 31117/72 Headings G4C and G5R A digital data recording arrangement includes a motor arranged to drive a recording medium, e.g. a magnetic tape, the motor being a D.C. motor having electronic commutation means, means arranged to produce recording pulses, and synchronizing means to synchronize the production of the recording pulses with the speed of the motor by controlling the producing means in accordance with signals generated by the commutation means or at a winding of the motor. The motor has stator windings L1-L4 energized by transistors T1-T4 in response to rotor position signals, e.g. from Hall generators H1, H2. The position signals are also fed to operational amplifiers K1, K2 acting as comparators. The amplifiers feed an exclusive-OR gate G to produce glow pulses per revolution. These pulses are used to control recording in order to compensate for motor speed variations. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), signals are derived via diodes from the stator windings and are fed via amplifiers K1, K2 and gate G as above.
