1438450 Heat treating zirconium TELEDYNE WAY CHANG ALBANY 3 Sept 1974 [20 Sept 1973] 38489/74 Heading C7A and C7N Zirconium or its alloys are quenched from the beta phase region into water at not less than 140F, preferably above 160F. In this way critical gram growth at the surface during re-heating into the alpha region is eliminated.
