Abstract
1439018 Partition walls R S PRICE S E THORSELL and R S AGAR 27 July 1973 [3 Aug 1972] 35805/73 Heading E1W A partition wall comprises confronting ceiling and floor runners (12, 14) Fig. 2 (not shown) between which extend vertical studs 10 in laterally spaced relationship each stud member having horizontally aligned cut out portions 2 in which are engaged the ends of horizontal reinforcing members 3. The members 3 have an upwardly directed clip engaging lip 3a over which clips 7 engage. The clips 7 are secured to panels 4 by means of clip holders attached to the rear surface 4a. The panels are gypsum board and the clip holders are fixed to the boards by tangs 6 struck out from the plate 5. The clip 7 has a camming portion to draw the panels against the studs.
