Abstract
1445018 Etching COMPAGNIE HONEYWELL BULL 12 Dec 1973 [14 Dec 1972] 57638/73 Heading B6J [Also in Division H1] To remove portions of a glass layer 20 over the contact areas of a resistor, a layer 21 of molybdenum is applied as a mask and the glass is then etched by means of a mixture of hydro fluoric acid and ammonium fluoride. The contacts comprise molybdenum layers, which are shaped by etching with ferric chloride slution, and gold layers which are etched by a solution of iodine and potassium iodide. The resistive layer comprises tantalum which is etched by potash solution.
