Abstract
1447994 Electric circuit breaker cases AIRPAX ELECTRONICS Inc 30 Oct 1973 50337/73 Heading H1N An electromagnetic circuit-breaker has a case comprising a thermoplastics base 14, a thermoplastics housing 16 and a rocker actuator 18 pivotally mounted in the housing with its inner end bificated and receiving a toggle bar 44 of the circuit-breaker mechanism and having a L-shaped groove 48 receiving housing projections 50. The circuit breaker casing including housing 16, base 14 of plastics material, is telescoped together and retained by engagement of protuberances 24 in apertures 32. Actuator 18 has a slot 48, 54 through which, in assembly, pivot protruberances 50 are introduced. Legs 38 are bifurcated to engage by slot 42 the toggle bar of the switch mechanism. The circuit breaker may have a single pole with terminals 20, 22 or a plurality of poles (Fig. 6, not shown ). A knock-out may be provided in base 14 for an auxiliary switch having a base 92, and terminals 94, 96. A light (58, Figs. 2, 3, not shown) may be mounted between the legs of actuator 18.
