Abstract
1462908 Cable shoes EISEN-UND DRAHTWERK ERLAU AG 8 July 1974 [7 July 1973] 30107/74 Heading E2A A cable shoe for guiding a cable during hauling by a traction member comprises a body with a guide opening for the cable and a retaining member for the traction member. The body is U shaped, each leg has a circular opening 10 which openings 10 are defined to provide the channel 3 for a cable. A narrow slot opening 13 extends from one opening 10 and provide a retaining opening for a chain traction member. The opening 10 may extend to bottom of the shoe or may extend to other opening 10. The guide opening may be provided by a tube 1b, Fig. 4, welded to the body and projecting beyond the ends of the body which is of more compact construction as shown in Fig. 5. The body may be cylindrical, Fig. 8, with tube guide supported within it. The ends of the guide tube may be frusto-conical.
