1476796 Acylureas SUCRERIES DU SOISSONNAIS ET COMPAGNIE SUCRIERE 14 Nov 1974 [14 Nov 1973 25 Oct 1974] 49319/74 Heading C2C The invention comprises a process for the production of compounds of the formula in which A represents H or R 1 -X- where X is CO or SO 2 and R 1 is an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, alkoxy, aryl or aryloxy group, R 2 is H or an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl group and R 3 is H or a secondary or tertiary alkyl group, with the proviso that R 2 and R 3 are not both H, by reacting a compound of the formula A-N(R 2 )-CN with a compound which readily forms a carbonium ion (R 3 +) in the presence of a catalyst, or, when R 3 is H, by hydration of the compound of the formula A-N(R 2 )-CN. The invention further comprises the compounds of Formula I disubstituted in position 1.
