Abstract
1479538 Toys MARVIN GLASS & ASSOCIATES 5 May 1975 [29 July 1974] 18769/75 Heading A6S A toy comprises a wheeled vehicle which is connected to a pivot arm to rotate about a centre point around a path of travel on a board under power, and playing pieces positionable on the path of travel of the vehicle or in the path of the arm to cause the vehicle to perform various evolutions. As shown, a battery-powered electric motor in a housing 14 is speed controlled by a knob 74 and drives through a train of gears to rotate an arm 20 and traverse a toy motor cycle 18 around a track 16. The arm 20 can pivot up-and-down so that when ramps 88, 98 are plugged into holes in the track 16, the motor cycle leaps into the air. Simulated barrels 96 can be located between pegs-94 following the ramp 88 for the motor cycle to leap over. A cam 82 can be plugged into the top of the motor housing 14, to be engaged by the arm 20 which lifts the motor cycle 18 so that it somersaults. A split ring 100, simulating a ring of fire, is friction fitted to a handle 112 and may be held beyond the ramp 98 for the cycle to leap through. A ramp 120 transverse to the path of travel is provided for a simulated motor tyre 122 to be rolled down and across the path of the motor cycle 18. A pack of cards 125 contains instructions for a user to perform the various leaps, &c. in particular sequences. The front wheel 60a of the motor cycle 18 is journalled upon the end of the arm 20.
