Abstract
1500913 Fire barrier DUFAYLITE DEVELOPMENTS Ltd 6 May 1975 [13 Feb 1974] 18867/75 Divided out of 1500912 Heading A5A A fire barrier device comprises a grid 3 of structural cellular material having cells extending through the thickness thereof, the walls of the cells being coated with an intumescent material, a frame 2 surrounding the grid, and reinforcing metallic mesh members 5 situated one on each face of the grid 3 so that the grid is sandwiched therebetween. As shown in Fig. 5, the members 5 are secured together by twisted wires 6. Fig. 8 shows the device having a wooden frame formed by members 81..84, and a mesh formed by wires 87, 88. Parent Specification is referred to and shows a fire barrier device in which the grid is provided with a metal frame having a channel form.
