Abstract
1503055 Pipe couplings DELAVAL TURBINE Inc 23 Sept 1976 [17 Dec 1975] 39476/76 Heading F2G In a coupling for joining tubes 18, 19 each having a ferrule 10 or 11 with an annular seal 12 or 13 and a band 14 positioned about the ferrules in sealing engagement with the seals, assembly is effected by a two-part retainer 15 which has flanges 43, 44 for engaging the ferrules and a resilient electrical conductor 42 in at least one of the parts adapted to engage each of the ferrules when the retainer is in position. The ferrule may be formed integral with its tube or welded, brazed, roll swaged or machined thereon. The conductor is in the form of a U- shaped flexible wire and the retainer 15 is a hinged split ring held in place by a catch for details of which the Specification should be referred to.
