Abstract
1503406 Vehicle fuel tanks INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 14 April 1976 [5 June 1975] 15262/66 Heading B7H A tractor includes a fuel tank 46 located at the forward portion of a main frame 22 with a radiator 52 and fan shroud 54 mounted behind the tank 46, a baffle system being anchored to the frame for directing air flow through the radiator. In a preferred embodiment an oil cooler 50 as shown in Fig. 2 may be mounted to the rear surface of the tank 46. The side walls 32, 32a, Fig. 4, of the engine compartment are equipped with ducts 96, 96a for directing air flow over the radiator. Air is also drawn in at the regions around the periphery of the fuel tank 46. Baffles 102, 104 are positioned to channel incoming air to the oil cooler and radiator.
