Abstract

For the purpose of panoramic recording or projection, use is made of a vertically directed wide-angle lens (1), e.g. a fish eye lens with a lens coverage of more than 180 DEG , a circular central region ( alpha ) being masked out. The panorama is projected in the shape of a circular ring on the image carrier. In the case of downwardly directed camera, the latter can be supported on a carrier located in the unused part of the lens coverage.
