1525460 Fluid-blast circuit breaker REYROLLE PARSONS Ltd 10 Oct 1975 [11 Oct 1974] 44231/74 Heading H1N The moving contact assembly of a fluid-blast interrupter comprises a tubular main contact 22 and an auxiliary tubular contact 25 containing a rooting contact 27, the main contact 22 being attached to the wall 14 of a puffer cylinder 13. At the commencement of the opening stroke the main contact 22 moves before to the auxiliary contact 25 until, at the position shown, an opening 29 in the auxiliary contact is aligned with vent 16 to allow gas to exhaust from the bore 26 assisted by the deflector 28.
