Abstract
1528268 Picture frames BECKER & HACH KG 30 Nov 1976 [23 April 1976] 49843/76 Headings A4U and A4X [Also in Division F2] A picture frame comprises frame members 1 of resilient material and of channel-section, mitred at the corners of the frame, and connecting pieces 12, 12, arm portions 14, 14′ of which are received substantially wholly within the channels, there being pieces 12 at three of the corners, which are glued in place, and a piece 12′ at the remaining corner which is pivoted at 20 to one frame member 1b for swinging into and out of locking engagement of a slot 22 on its free end with a pin 21 on the adjacent frame member 1b. Each of the pieces 12, 12′ includes a projection (27) which snap fits into a recess (26), Fig. 4 (not shown) in a wall 7 of the channel, the wall 7 being extended to form a resilient flange 8 retaining the picture. A plate 15 is attached to each of the pieces 12, 12′ and includes serrated surfaces 25, 25′ for engaging screws used for hanging the frame, the plate 12′ also including a handle 23. Bendable tabs 24 on the plates 12, 12′ allow for hanging on an uneven wall surface.
