189,753. Compagnie d’Applications MÚcaniques. Nov. 29, 1921, [Convention date]. Crank shafts for high speed internal-combustion engines &c. A series of crank discs 3, 3a, 3b are separately carried in ball bearings 8 in the framing 2 and are interconnected by interengaging hollow and solid parts, 5, 4 projecting therefrom. The end discs 3 carry the end journals x of the shaft and, in the form shown, hollow projecting parts 5 only, the discs 3 having solid and hollow projections, and the disc 3b solid projections only. The projections may be tapered and secured by end nuts and by keys 7. The outer noses 9 of the bearings 8 are axially free in the framing 2. The big-ends 16, which may be undivided, run on roller bearings 13 on the hollow projections.
