Abstract
A rectangular panel 10 for use in forming door units, drawers, etc. having a plurality of holes for receiving connecting elements (Fig. 3), the holes being arranged in sets adjacent to two opposed edges of the panel with each hole comprising a cavity in a face of the panel and a tubular passage of relatively small cross-section extending between the adjacent edge of the panel and the cavity, the holes in each set being at different distances from the mid-point of the adjacent edge, each cavity receiving a rotatable device 38 having a camming surface 54 for engaging a shoulder 56, 62 on a connector 36, 58 passing through the tubular passage. The arrangement of holes allows panels to be connected in two perpendicular planes to a cleat 34, having offset holes 40, 42.
